About the show

The Guy is a mockumentary comedy about a pink insurance salesman from New Jersey who doesn’t think there’s anything particularly interesting about his life.

That changes when a documentary crew calls wanting to tell his story. He came to New Jersey from Indonesia when he was just a baby, he has no real explanation for why he’s pink, and there’s a lot about his past that even he doesn’t fully understand.

The cameras follow him through work, friendships, dating, family, and all the strange little things that make him who he is. While everyone around him seems fascinated by his story, he mostly just wants to live a normal life.

As the series goes on, we slowly learn there may be a lot more to The Guy, and where he came from, than anyone realizes.
